Filmmakers, Roy Kirkland and Doug Sebastian, owners of RKDS Entertainment and Media, LLC, have written, directed, and produced several movies. Owning a studio in Valdosta, filmmaking started for the duo in 2006. In 2018, the RKDS Film Festival was created, an annual event to highlight the film industry in South Georgia. Legendary actor, Burt Reynolds, was the first star honored at RKDS Fest. This year's event is set for November. The Roy Kirkland Show will begin its new season in 2022.
